Lazarus Housing
LAZARUS HOUSE assists in the development of affordable housing for families with low and moderate incomes. This assistance includes constructing, acquiring, providing and operating transitional homes to individuals without regard to age, race, sex, color, religion, marital status, physical or mental handicap or national origin for the purpose of transitioning them to home ownership and/or help with financial stability.
In the Transitional Program, families live in the home for 18-24 months at a very reduced rate to allow them to get out of debt and help them save for a down payment to purchase their own homes. Alert CDC has 8 homes in the program valued at over $1 million.
